Explore the sleepy village of SYRIAM, situated at the confluence of the Yangon and Bago Rivers; to be exact, on the southern bank of the Bago River. We continue a few miles south of the town where the Kyeik Khauk Pagoda, like the Shwedagon Pagoda, stands on a hill. The Kyeik Khauk matches its famous cousins in architecture and atmosphere. 

We also visit Ye Le Pagoda which lies about 20 km south of Thanlyin on a tributary of the Yangon River, and there can be found the unusual Kyauk Tan Pagoda, situated on an island in the middle of the river. After that, we drive back to Yangon.
