The pride of Bago, and highest pagoda in Myanmar is the 114m tall Shwemawdaw “Great Golden God” Pagoda built more than 1200 years ago to house Buddha’s hair relics. Countless Buddhist pligrims flock here day and night to worship the magnificent pagoda.
